No they don't! There are not risk of fire as they are electric! They do not produce any heat, do not burn, and do not smoke. The LED tea light, placed inside the lantern, is operated by 2 standard AAA batteries (or rechargeable). Its LED bulb glows such a real candle, but resist to the wind, vibrations and shocks. Once the candle is on inside your tea light holder,you don't have to worry about anything, just enjoy the soft light and relax.

These paper lanterns were created after a loverly encounter during a trip in South India, in a small village near Pondicherry... The women of this community handcraft them with coconut leaves from the region, which bring this original aspect to the paper. The LED candles have a small switch to make their utilisation even simpler.
